December 22, 2009 Posted a new illustration.
For some reason I have no problem drawing when I shouldn't be, but when there's ample time to sit down and really work on a project, I can't get motivated. Case in point: I have at least 30 Bite-Size scripts planned, but I can't get myself to actually draw them. Also, there's this short comic I've been working on for two years and I only have 12 pages finished. I would actually laugh at that, except seeing those aged pages sitting on my desk gathering dust... it's as discouraging as it gets. I can't make any New Year's resolutions because I know I won't keep them. But if there's anyone out there who actually wants to read more of my stuff, I invite you to let me know. Maybe a few words of encouragement will help. Ordinary life can be exhausting. Any stories of those people who could write their novel or complete a personal project in addition to their full-time job (juggling God-knows whatever other responsibilities) have my complete respect. (And shame to anyone who criticizes them, by the way.) I'll keep trying to get motivated--I guess that's a promise to myself since in an ideal world, I'd be making these comics even if nobody read them. Um...so, keep at it, George! Maybe after a few rounds of Street Fighter... - - - December 11, 2009 I present a new Bite-Size strip.
